Movember: Or Should We Say DinoMovember!

November 17, 2014 By Lori Yearwood Leave a Comment

There are a lot of exciting things going on in November.  If you are not yet aware, we thought we’d fill you in so you can make the most out of enjoying the last few weeks of this month. November is the magical month where toy dinosaurs come to life at night and are inevitably discovered by their homo sapiens in the morning, having created all sorts of mischief.  This phenomenon is known as Dinovember.  November is also the time of year when men let their mustaches take center stage to raise awareness for men’s health.  That phenomenon is known as Movember.  Not ever wanting to be left out, or forgotten (as is evident by their ongoing presence today, though becoming extinct – modern birds aside – so long ago), the dinosaurs have decided to do their part, and perhaps even compete with the finest Mo Bros out there.  This new development will now and forever more be known as DinoMovember (first observed by a father in 2013).

Here are just some of the fine fellows that have been caught in action by our watchful eyes.

This dandy dilophosaurus was one of the first to get in on the action.

These dinosaurs got a little over confident with their mustaches and thought they had earned themselves a night out, thus sneaking into a suit jacket!

Your toy or collectable dinosaurs have probably been getting in on this action too, you just haven’t caught them yet.  When you do, please capture the moment (via photo or illustration) and share it with us. Since men’s health is of upmost importance, we are hosting a contest for our favourite DinoMovember image, with $100 being donated to the Movember cause in the winner’s name.

There are a few options for how you can submit your entries:

  • Post your DinoMovember image to our Facebook Page with the hashtag #DinoMovember;
  • Share your image on Twitter or Google +, and link to us @Dinologue, and use the hashtag #DinoMovember; or
  • Share a link to your image in the comments for this post below.

The deadline for getting your DinoMovember contest entries in is Friday, November 28th. Go Dinos Go!
